Income Eligibility Guidelines

Monthly income before taxes is used to determine income eligibility for services. To verify if you are eligible, submit your Early Ed Connect application. If you need further assistance or have questions, contact your local eligibility office. The table below shows how much monthly income before taxes your family can have and still qualify.

Family cannot make over this much monthly to get onto the program. This is figured on gross income before taxes. Includes wages, SSI, TANF, unemployment and child support.

On My Way Pre-K Limited Eligibility

If funding remains, a limited number of vouchers may be available for children who meet all these requirements:

  • Will be 4 years old by August 1, 2023
  • Is expected to start kindergarten in the 2023-2024 school year
  • Who live in households with incomes up to 185% of the federal poverty level

These children must also have:

  • A parent or guardian living in the household who is working, going to school or attending job training OR
  • A parent or guardian who gets Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits.
